Notable Changes from the Previous Year

The 2024 Dodge Hornet is an all-new model, which means there are plenty of changes compared to the 2023 lineup. The new Hornet is the result of a collaboration between Dodge and Alfa Romeo, as both brands are part of Stellantis. The exterior has been redesigned with slimmer headlamps, taillamps and slashes on the bumper.

Performance Specs

Both trims share the same engine: a 2.0L GME Turbo. It delivers 295 lb-ft of torque capacity and 268 horsepower. Such features make the new Hornet the fastest crossover utility vehicle (CUV) in class. The AWD drivetrain and the nine-speed automatic transmission are also standard for both models. Additionally, you can select the Sport Mode for improved performance, with an electronic slip differential, tighter steering, and better throttle. It delivers a combined fuel economy of 9.9L / 100km and 907kg of towing capacity.

Design Elements

Design Elements

The bold and aggressive exterior design contrasts with modern amenities and futuristic features in the interior. Even the wheels have a sharp look, with red Brembo brake callipers on the 20-inch dark abyss rims. Both models come with exclusive trim badges, body colour rear spoilers and heated exterior mirrors. However, only the GT Plus comes with an auto-dimming exterior driver's mirror and a hands-free liftgate.

The interior features are pretty similar across the lineup. There's a dual-zone air conditioning system, sun visors with illuminated mirrors, a techno-leather steering wheel, and rear-seat armrests for both models. Heated front seats and steering wheel are available for the GT and come standard for the GT Plus. Also, the entry-level trim has a rearview day/night mirror, while the flagship model has an auto-dimming mirror.

Technology and Safety Features

In both trims, you'll find a 12.3-inch full-colour centre display with Compass and a 10.25-inch touchscreen display. However, the GT has a Uconnect 5 infotainment system, while the GT Plus comes with the upgraded Uconnect 5 NAV.

A wide array of safety features are included in the lineup, such as airbags, blindspot monitoring, lane keep assist, tire pressure monitoring, forward collision warning, and an electric park brake with auto hold. The flagship model comes standard with a remote start and a universal garage door opener.
